Terpinolene is one of the more elusive terpenes in that its aroma is more fluid and its known to occur in such scarce quantities. Terpinolene can be described as woody, fresh, piney, floral, herbal and citrusy and is known for it's occurrence in apples. While it may play in role in the entourage effect of different cultivars, it has also been researched for potentially inhibiting cancer growth or reducing the risk of heart disease.
